Miyazaki’s Nausicaä manga is a grand epic on par with Lord of the Rings, and it’s a shame it doesn’t get the recognition it should.

I love the worldbuilding in Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind (especially the book) so much, ‘cause it’s post apocalyptic but the apocalypse in question happened in 2500 or some shit, so everyone looks all medieval but but they’ve occasionally got futuristic technology. It’s such a cool juxtaposition.
