hey so. im moving into a community care unit so i can finally stop being a high functioning homeless person. the thing is before i can move, i need to pay off about $500AUD worth of moving debt (and if i can a recent $166AUD vet bill) from my last move from a house that was causing me a lot of grief and mental instability.

I don’t know if you have considered this but stop smoking in areas where people are forced to wait at. Don’t smoke at crosswalks. Don’t smoke outside doorways. Don’t smoke at bus stops. People with asthma or other breathing conditions or people that idk DON’T WANT TO BREATHE IN YOUR CIGARETTE SMOKE are trying to get to places and need to be able to breathe. Stop smoking in crowded areas. stop smoking in crowded areas. STOP FORCING NONSMOKERS TO SECOND HAND SMOKE.
This may be news to some people, but this applies to marijuana too.
This actually also applies to vapes. My asthma goes off to even vape smoke, it’s not harmless, there are particulates in it that other peoples lungs can and are affected by.
You do not have the right to force anyone else to smoke or vape your fumes.
@staff@support Did nothing about the pornography problem because it made them money. They happily ignored the fictional porn of minors being exploited as well as the very REAL cp, as in real children being raped on camera, because tumblr is a dying site and they needed whatever revenue they could get, even from pedophiles. Tumblr’s userbase hates ads, especially because we weren’t allowed to monetize them despite owning the blogs the site depends on (unlike Instagram or Youtube which do monetize and give users sponsorship opportunities) and every hamfisted attempt to make money off us (Tumblr premium, pinning posts to the top of other user’s dashboards, the ads-on-blogs campaign, making the ads on mobile “funny and ridiculous”, ugly $49 themes, etc.) failed because they refused to incentivize us through compensation, connections, or sponsorship to keep posting content and maintaining the followings we had. They also deliberately sabatoged and deleted some of the early megablogs like @pizza in 2014 who were in fact making money off the site by recommending sponsored products (though the integrity of both the products and the blogger herself, for a few reasons, were up for debate. TW for antiblack slurs in the link).
Tumblr redefined “fandom” culture in particular in the early 2010s, its influence can be seen in the people who were teens (the lifeblood of social media) in 2013 up until teens now, and even now Tumblr continues to host many of the real influencers of social media, especially for fashion and humor. But then around 2015-16 Instagram and Twitter became the preferred sites thanks to Tumblr’s refusal to compensate/incentivize bloggers, the inefficiency of the site itself, the general hostile culture, how long it took Tumblr to address their massive self-harm/eating disorder glorification community (which still exists in a big way), how long it took Tumblr to address the extreme side of the true crime fandom that romanticized and often sought to contact or even emulate serial killers and school shooters (which still exists also), Nazism/white nationalist circles that could make Stormfront raise their eyebrows, piss poor filtering/blacklist/blocking systems, and most importantly the massive amounts of child porn on a site where the age to join is 13 and up. They drove out a sizable chunk of their actual users through greed and incompetence and just plain having nothing to offer. So in order to have the large membership they needed to make money they let the Nazis and the pedophiles stay while deleting normal blogs for small reasons such as saving too many urls, leaving the nonwhite users and the users who are minors to these vultures knowing full well what could have happened if a pedophile blog stalked, harassed, or groomed these children they, Tumblr, invited to the site.
Nearly everyone on here has reported instances of child porn both simulated and real to @staff@support, and every time we would get an email that either said they would check it out with no result, the blog still allowed to exist, or to just block them, to just ignore drawn/written depictions of pedophilia and rape (which are, under the FBI’s standards, still counted as child porn/exploitation, point blank, and yes that includes teenagers) or more importantly, REAL CHILDREN IN DESPERATE NEED OF RESCUING AND THERAPY. I have seen blogs of parents offering up their own children for money, talking with other parents or people with close access to children about their fantasies, and trading covert symbols and codewords to use so they can find each other in public. The DDLG culture was allowed to run rampant, the nigh-accepted fantasy of pretending to be a toddler being raped by a caregiver that was explicitly aimed at the young users of this site and infected tags of children’s shows/movies/etc. The MAP (minor-attracted-person) blogs were given the go ahead to flourish and discuss their preferences and share cp, simulated and not, amongst each other, under the guise of “we’re coping!” as if having been an exploited child means you have permission to exploit children by publicly talking about your fantasies, connecting with (traumatizing/grooming) minors, and trading child porn. We as users had reported this to staff too many times to count and they did nothing at all, leaving us no choice but to go to the FBI to report these pages and posts.
@staff@support I hope they shut your site down and you all lose your jobs, that you can never work in coding or website management or graphic design or whatever else. You’re getting exactly what you deserve.
