The kind of masculinity this is advocating doesn’t help *anyone.* What is Morgan looking for here? Carry the baby in your arms, which is tiring and means you’re not going to be able to carry them as long? Push them in a stroller? Which means you need to take a big-ass stroller everywhere and you don’t share warmth and can’t just glance down to check on them? Make sure it’s only mom carrying the baby, so that dad doesn’t have the same bond and relationship with his children, leaving him isolated and the kids distant from a source of support?
Men. Guys. My dudes.
You deserve parental leave. You deserve to have have changing tables in the restroom. You deserve to be able to take time off work to pick up your kid from school when they’re sick or to leave work early to go to their school play. You deserve to walk down the goddamned street carrying your infant child, a tiny person whose entire life depends on you, without getting shamed or laughed at.
You deserve to be cuddled and to cuddle people you love.
And the fact that this jackass is implying otherwise is revolting and I’m so sorry you have to deal with this bullshit.
